Larry Ennis

Larry is the principal of the firm and has 32 years experience in litigation, primarily in the defence of Civil Litigation Claims. Larry brings a commercial approach to defence litigation with the emphasis on his client’s needs. He is legal adviser to the Safety Directorate of the Road Safety Authority. He also acts as legal adviser for the Rules of the Road for the Road Safety Authority.
Aiga Andrupe Hayes
Job Title: Partner
Qualifications: MA (Law), Diploma in Insurance Law
Aiga has day to day responsibility for HR, training and management of personnel. Aiga has been with the firm since 2004 and has managed claims for lead insurers in courts throughout the country. Aiga’s area of expertise extends to public liability, employer’s liability, product liability and claims arising out of road traffic accidents. She is fluent in Latvian and Russian and is the lead solicitor for Area South East.
Hayley Tarmey

Qualifications: MA, LLB (Hons), Diploma in Insurance Law
Hayley was admitted to the Bar of England and Wales in 2005 following completion of a Post-Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at the Bar and qualified as a Solicitor in Ireland in 2011. Prior to joining Ennis and Associates in 2016, Hayley worked in a major law firm from 2007, specialising in healthcare law, commercial law, product liability and high value personal injuries litigation on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants.
Olwen Griffith
Job Title: Partner
Qualifications: BCL (Hons)
Prior to joining Ennis & Associates in 2007 Olwen worked in legal firms in Cork, Dublin and Australia, gaining experience across the spectrum of legal practice including major international and “top ten” firms. Olwen now manages a large portfolio of claims across all areas of defence litigation, focusing on the South and South West of the Country, and is our lead Solicitor for the area. With over 15 years experience Olwen has built strong relationships with clients, brokers, experts, Solicitors and Counsel.
Kerry Lyons
Job Title: Partner
Qualifications: LLB (Hons), ACII Chartered Insurance Institute
Having qualified as a Solicitor in 2009, Kerry has over 12 years continuous experience in every aspect of insurance related defence litigation. Prior to joining Ennis & Associates, Kerry worked in the in-house legal team of a major international insurance company and during this time she also qualified as a Chartered Insurer obtaining the Advanced Diploma in Insurance from the Chartered Insurance Institute. She was also admitted as a Solicitor to the Law Society of England and Wales. Kerry has extensive experience in MI reporting and regularly manages portfolio review meetings with clients. Kerry advises in all areas of defence litigation to include motor, employer, public and product liability as well as claims for property damage and defamation.

Charles Bourke

Lead Solicitor in the West Area, Charles brings to the team his unique insight and varied legal, insurance and fraud experience gained working on behalf of leading global insurers in Ireland and abroad. Charles has also worked on behalf of Ireland’s largest airline and represented Plaintiffs, SMEs and hospitals in his previous employment.
Jennifer Egan
Job Title: Associate Solicitor
Qualifications: BCL (Hons)
With ten years post qualification experience specifically in the area of personal injury litigation and a particular interest in counter-fraud protocols, Jennifer brings her legal knowledge and expert handling to a varied portfolio of claims from District Court through to High Court. She is highly competent advising in relation to liability, causation, quantum, strategy and tactics with an underlying commercial focus. Jennifer joined the practice in the summer of 2018 and was promoted to Associate Solicitor in June 2020.
Padraig O’Mairtin
Job Title: Solicitor
Qualifications: BCL (NUIG), LLM (UCD)
Prior to joining Ennis and Associates, Padraig worked for an international law firm specialising in defence litigation where he was instructed by national and international insurance providers. Padraig has extensive experience working with large self-insured commercial entities both in Ireland and the UK, advising them in relation to litigation in both the High and Circuit Court. Padraig has advised in all area of defence litigation to include product liability, employer’s liability, low velocity impact motor claims and defamation.
Holly Roe
Job Title: Solicitor
Qualifications: Diploma in Law
Holly joined Ennis & Associates in 2012 and went on to qualify as a Solicitor in 2019 having completed her traineeship with us. Holly was awarded the prestigious James O’Sullivan Award by the Law Society of Ireland during her time in Blackhall Place, and now manages a varied portfolio of employers liability, public liability and motor claims across all jurisdictions.
Tom Griffith
Job Title: Consultant Solicitor
Qualifications: B.Comm, BCL (Hons). MMII (Grad), Comdt. (Retd)
Tom spent the early years of his career as an Officer in the Defence Forces retiring with the rank of Commandant. Following qualification as a Solicitor, he was a Partner and Principal of his own firm for over 25 years specialising in Personal Injury Law, Criminal Law, Conveyancing and Family Law. Tom joined Ennis & Associates as a Consultant in 2017 and brings a wealth of varied knowledge and expertise to the firm.
Paul Tuohy
Job Title: Consultant Solicitor
Qualifications: BCL, Certificate in Medical Law
Paul was formerly a partner in a mid-west law firm and has over 30 years experience in personal injury law, medical negligence and employment law. He has acted for a range of insurers in recovery actions and in the defence of claims in all courts. Paul joined Ennis & Associates in 2020 as a Consultant and provides invaluable experience and guidance to the firm.

Lyndsey Carey
Job Title: Office Receptionist
Lyndsey joined the practice in 2018 and soon took over the role of Receptionist across both Ennis & Associates and Matrix Claims. Lyndsey assists the support staff in Ennis & Associates with administrative tasks and mans an extremely busy switchboard across both practices. Lyndsey’s professionalism, politeness and good humour are a welcoming point of contact for our Clients, and in turn their Clients.
